Please go over to Andrea Shea King's BlogTalkRadio 9/4 program to hear from a perspective of Capitol Hill, the Honorable Elizabeth Letchworth explain what’s likely going on behind closed doors – the horse trading to get votes in support of Obama’s determination to fight a proxy war for the Saudis.
It deals with natural gas pipelines that Russia and Saudi Arabia, Qatar are competing to gain footing thru Syria to provide energy the EU market. *Contemplate also Turkey's role and it's leverage to gain EU membership
@ 5 minute mark Shae-King discusses the Drudge headline about Arab willingness to pay for US blood and treasure to secure Syria for their interests.
@6 minute mark - war over liquid natural gas (LNG) pipeline, Qatar sent $3M to support rebels in Syria to unseat Assad and place their own puppet regime to allow placement of this pipeline
@7 minute mark - Saudi $$huge to rebels - Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan jetting fm covert rebel command to Paris to Kremlin in Moscow to unseat Assad regime to place their own puppet Russia prefers Assad to block the flow across the Persian Gulf to keep GAZPROM in control of flow
@9 minute mark Shea-King discusses a 2009 article describing Qatar's desire to place a liquid natural gas pipeline to Turkey which will then transit through to the EU. Qatar to nabucco pipeline through Turkey Qatar SA Jordan Syria - Turkey
20 minute mark discusses "Obama's" red line origin and potential for US boots on the ground - (lawfare blog)THE proposed AUMF focused on Syria WMD
***very plausible stuff - must hear this program!
It seems to me that to two sides from which to pick on this war is either to support the further funding of Communist influence/control via Gazprom or increase funding Islamic expansion/influence via Nabucco (Liquid natural gas pipeline thru Arab/Turk interests). Choose neither. Their profits/prophet should be at the expense of their own blood and treasure.
Europe had better wake up because the brunt of this influence/leverage is aimed at their well being - given Turkey jockeying for increased leverage to join EU to garner ever more political influence through energy.I would add that the United States and Canada have become HUGE producers of Liquid Natural Gas in the past few years. LNG is a byproduct of the Fracking process, and we basically have more of it than we can use.
I don't have time to do the research on this, but if there is economic horse trading on issues surrounding the war, then certainly one of the important bits to consider is America's place at the table as a future exporter of LNG.
